March 10th, 2016: Edina >> Chicago
Today was the first day of the Edina Concert Choir Tour 2016 to Chicago IL. They go to Chicago every year, but it was a pleasure to be apart of. That morning, we dropped our bags off at Colonial Chirch, and then went to a workshop in the neighboring room with their conductor, Mark Stover.
The clinic was pretty good, and we were already sounding better when we loaded up the buses to head to stop #2, an exchange with Eastview High School. They were also singing Baba Yetu, so we sang that with them. Then it was off to Chicago, with a stop at a mall food court for dinner. And that mall had a pet store with little puppy's in it. Awwww. We tried to watch a few movies on the bus, but the sound quality was so bad that I ended up ignoring it, and drawing on my iPad.
We arrived in Chicago pretty late, but we still had time before room check to hit up the Bean, only a few blocks from where we were staying at the Chicago Hilton.
Celeste had never been to Chicago, so this was one of her first impressions.

We got back just in time to sneak around the ballrooms, and join DH in staring down all the kids coming back to the hotel.
