Grady Takes Over the Vlog

Spoleto, Italy

Hey, everyone! Grady here. Now, if you didn't read the title of this post, or didn't watch today's vlogs, you might be wondering, why is Grady blogging on Cristiana's travel blog? My answer being: go watch the vlogs and read the title. Now, I suppose if you're not a consistent fan of the Cristiana Travel Vlog Series™, you may or may not know who I am. So let me explain to all the fake fans out there, I am Cristiana's little sister. Anyways, that was a rather lengthy tangent.

We spent the day cruisin' around the Umbrian country side in our ugly car with our great friends Donald and Steven, and their friend Gudwin. We met up with quite a few pals along the way as well. The first stop being the Trevi Hospital to visit our friend Francesco.  Hospitals in general, but for the sake of right now, Italian hospitals, kind of freak me out, but this one seemed nice. A little stark, a little dull, but overall seemed pretty okay.

We had a lunch date with Ale in Monte Falco shortly after. We had a brief three-hour lunch. The food was as marvelous as the view. Which is to say very, very good. Ale and Mom are in a seemingly endless feud of who gets to pay the check at the end of the meal. The goal of said challenge is to pay the check, in case that was a little unclear. Mom has only yet to win once. Nevertheless, she persists. After our lengthy lunch, we were quite stuffed. But you want to know a family secret that has been passed from one sister to the next? You're never too full for gelato.

Needless to say, we all felt a little too full after lunch and our gelato, so we didn't eat dinner until very late. In between our meals, we had some time to kill. The Hawthorne family elected to go shopping. Baso, which is the newer part of town, was completely packed, but we still were able to find a skirt, for me, and a blazer, for Cristiana.

The entire group, minus Mom, went to one of our favorite restaurants, Tre Fontanes. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.  Their pizza bianca is to die for. We ended our night with another gelato. You might notice that we only had two gelatos today, which falls short of our daily quota of four. We too are very disappointed. But alas, we can always make up for today's lack of gelato tomorrow.

Ciao,
Grady
